Before I retired I was a chartered civil engineer and a director of a large international consulting engineering company. I started competing in sprints and hillclimbs on motorcycles in 1972, and after a family and career building interval of about 15 years, I switched to racing cars in 1993. Since then I have run three OMS single seaters, two Lotus Elises, a Lotus Europa Twin Cam, a Caterham, a Lotus 61 Formula Ford and a Pringett Mistrale FF.
In 2019 I will be running the Mistrale in the Classic Championship and my 600cc OMS Hornet in the Midland Hillclimb Championship.
I was Chairman of the Hillclimb and Sprint Association between 2012 and March 2018, and remain a committee member of HSA.
