After a changable week of weather preceding the meeting , and snow much in evidence on the appropriately named mountain-tops of Snowdonia, the first day at this new meeting dawned bright but cool & breezy. As expected the track proved to be very challenging, especially to newcomers. It was quickly decided that we would use our normal 2 practice runs followed by 2 counting timed runs so as to equalise things as much as possible - the organisers were using the 'new' single practice run rules introduced for this season.
Fastest overall was Andy Tippett in the mighty Brabham V8. Andy finally getting to a venue where the beast can really stretch its legs !. Trevor Shortt was next in his Scimitar coupe followed by a 3 way Escort scrap, this being won by Mark Linforth in his Mk1. Class awards on the day went down to fourth place , this being taken by Simon Braithwaite.
