Round 11 - Curborough

A very healthy field of BOC / Aldon competitors assembled at Curborough's Sprint track for the Aston Martin Owners Club annual meeting. We made up about half the total entry !

The day was blessed with some superb early Autumn sunshine - much appreciated after the past few weeks. This made the competition at least even, with stable track conditions throughout the days racing.

Handicap winners were Callum Barney in his Mk1 Cortina GT , Peter Thurston in the very rapid Mallock & Chris Jones in the rare Fairthorpe Electron sportscar.

Scratch winners were Garry Cox in his Scimitar Coupe , Peter Thurston & Philip Stader in the green MG Migdet flying as always!

Trevor Shortt unfortunately suffered a broken diff in his rapid Scimitar Coupe in practice , a real shame as it would have been one of the fastest combinations in the Saloon car class.

All in all a really good day which ran very smoothly with some friendly organisers and a timely finish.
