Round 4 - Gurston Down

A good selection of drivers from across the three BOC classes assembled for the annual visit to the BARC's Gurston Down Hillclimb. As always the meeting was very well organised with minimal delays , the only tiny issue being the changable weather with a light sprinkling of rain between the two timed competitive runs.

Items of interest during the day included:

Andy Clarke losing his time from run 1 for a four wheels on the grass over the flying finish moment - something he strenuously denied but didnt go and protest .... tells you something!

Martin Jones' Brabham having its tracking adjusted with the aid of a garden hoe, apparantly must be 'Spear & Jackson' as these are the most accurate. Photo from Les Buck.

Thanks to Philip Stader for adjusting the handicaps at lunchtime & liasing with Tim.
