Round 6

Round 6 of the 2023 Bugatti Owners Club /Fassi Classic Speed Championship was held at Gurston Down Hillclimb.

 

The FASSI Saloon car class was well represented with a new car (Hillman Avenger) making its debut with Phil Fisher. The overall pace was set by Matt Clarke once again in the flying Mini Mk1. Mark Hobbs (Mk2 Escort) ran him very close with Martin Saunders (Mk1 Escort) not far away in third on scratch times. The Handicap win went to Steve Akers in his Mini , keeping the championship battle very open with Alister and the Triumph being absent this time out.

Sportscars had only a single entry for Garry Cox. Second fastest overall but in a close battle with Ben Fisher , Matt Clarke & Mark Hobbs all day after an early spin in practice.

Just a single entry also in the Racing cars class. Ben Fisher set fastest time overall in the Fisher family Mallock.
